Norsemen Brewing Company
Located just steps away from the similarly named Norsemen Inn, the Norsemen Brewing Company of Camrose, Alberta is quickly becoming a tour de force of Alberta beer culture. This young microbrewery has only been operational since 2010, but has already accrued many loyal fans of its craft-brewed beers. Its signature pale ale, Longship, and amber ale, Erik the Red, make up the brewery’s standard selection; also available is a third rotating seasonal beer. The Longship lager has been met with particular enthusiasm by Camrose’s beer drinkers; its crisp, light taste and fresh flavour have made it a crowd favourite. Brewmaster Ryan Stang uses Alberta barley and select imported grains in each of his craft beers, which are brewed in small batches to ensure optimal freshness. Each beer is developed without the use of preservatives and fillers, guaranteeing the purest, cleanest taste possible. Norsemen’s local sourcing practices help to support Alberta farmers and rural communities while producing a truly Albertan beer. With only five years of operations under its belt, the Norsemen Brewing Company is already helping to establish Camrose as one of Canada’s brewing powerhouses.
