Fitzsimmons Brewing Company
With a family approach, co-founders Cody and Pamela Fitzsimmons set out to build their dream of Airdrie’s first and only microbrewery. All their grain comes out of Alix, Red Deer or Strathmore. Their beers are unpasteurized, unfiltered and naturally carbonated, maintaining a fresh clean brew, while reflecting the local character of the ingredients. With sustainability in mind, they donate their used grain to a local rancher to use as feed for his livestock, and in turn, they serve that rancher’s beef jerky and pepperoni sticks in their tap room. Their two core beers are Big Hill Blonde and East Lake Amber, as well as monthly rotational brews. Their tap room offers a casual experience with rustic western flare. Guests can enjoy their beautifully crafted beer with light snacks while sitting at the wood-frame bar. Visitors can book a tour of the facility, and the small fee includes sample tastings behind the scenes, and a pint of your favourite ale at the end of the tour.
