Projectile point recovered during excavation (Bodo Archaeological Society)
Experience archaeology in action at The Bodo Archaeological Site, one of the largest and most well-preserved pre-contact archaeological areas in Western Canada. Visitors are offered guided tours of the archaeological site and interpretive center, and even have the chance to participate in the ongoing excavation of the site. In addition to tours of the site, our programs also feature plant hikes to learn about flora and fauna used by Aboriginal ancestors, trips to see a bison rubbing stone, and hands-on activities such as traditional pottery making and flint knapping.
