Since time immemorial, a mass migration has taken place in the skies over our Rocky Mountains. Bi-annually the Golden Eagle migration occurs in the front ranges, a 10,000 year route that takes these raptors from their northern breeding sites to their southern wintering grounds. Learn about this amazing seasonal journey at one of two locations: 1)Troll Falls & Hay Meadow Loop (April 05): This easy hike will provide views of the Kananaskis River and include a visit the Rocky Mountain Eagle Research Foundation citizen science site. This program has two start times (9:00 AM & 1:00 PM) 2) Wasootch Ridge (April 06): A moderate to advanced hike with a steep start, Wasootch ridge takes you to the cruising altitude of the Eagles. Ticket pricing includes an ACMG Hiking Guide, snack, and access to cleats and hiking poles.
