North Shore Loop Trails

This series of interconnected lakeside and forest loops within Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park lets you pick and choose your trail length from a few hundred meters to a couple of kilometers. These trails are generally flat with some gentle slopes. The trailhead is at the North Shore Day Use Area and they connect to the Freighter Lakeshore Trail. Open year-round, these trails can be hiked or bicycled in the summer, and are groomed for cross-country skiing in the winter.
