In this workshop, participants learn about the origin of designs, hide and footwear. They also gain awareness about styles of beadwork; lane stitch, straight beading, loom work, peyote stitch, rope beading, raised beading and skimming. Participants will create a personal beadwork item. Supplies are provided. However, you are welcome to bring your own beads, needles, fabric, thread and wool to incorporate into your personal creation. The minimum age for this workshop is 8 years of age. Part of their current exhibit programming: Wagichibi Îhnuthe: Dance Regalia of the Îyârhe Stoney Nakoda.
