Banff International String Quartet Festival is a three-day festival showcasing the finest in international classical music to audiences through a completely immersive experience at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Held during non-competition years, BISQFest features Banff International String Quartet Competition competition alumni alongside special guest artists exploring repertoire from across the centuries. The 2023 Festival delivers world-class concerts from some of the finest string quartets of our time: New Orford String Quartet, Viano String Quartet, Leonkoro Quartett, and Dior Quartet. Joining them will be a diverse group of artists including bassist Joel Quarrington, acclaimed mezzo-soprano Ema Nikolovska, award-winning composer Carmen Braden, and many more.Choose from 8 concerts that include performances of Brahms, Mendelssohn, Haydn, Chopin, Schubert, Wijeratne, Braden, Hatzis, Lau, Shostakovitch, and more!
