WinSport's Canada Olympic Park is the premiere site of the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. Open year-round and home to a variety of activities including downhill mountain biking, mini golf, a Children's Activity Centre, zipline, bobsleigh, ice skating, skiing and snowboarding.
The Wapiti Nordic Ski Club is one of Canada's premier cross country skiing and biathlon facilities. It is home to the Steve Cooper Lodge which was completed in 1994 as one of the major legacies from the 1995 Canada Winter Games. There are over 35kms of trails for both classical and skate skiing, which includes the Weyerhaeuser Forest Trail. The club has the longest night skiing trail in Alberta - 4.5kms of lit trail. There is also a 5km out and back snowshoe trail. There are two trails for those that love to ski with their dogs.
Located just 3 km north of Raymond sits a world class motocross and dirt bike facility, Temple Hill Motorcycle Park. The park is host to many events throughout the year including the Western Canadian Amateur Championships. The park caters to competitive and recreational pursuits by offering, race track, a quad park, freestyle ramp and a BMX track. State-of-the-art interactive displays and exhibits throughout the Centre focus on the infamous Frank Slide of 1903 - Canada’s deadliest rockslide.
