Peace River Museum, Archives and Mackenzie Centre
The Peace River Museum, Archives and Mackenzie Centre tells the story of Peace River through its galleries and archives. From the geological creation of the area, the rich Aboriginal heritage, the fur trade, and the evolution of the settlement into the Town of Peace River. The Main Gallery exhibit changes every eight months to depict, engaging historic themes. Curriculum-based school programming is offered at the Centre and through interpretive walking tours. In addition to an art wall feature, changing monthly, there is also a gift shop and book store onsite.
