This simple chapel, Alberta's oldest building, became the centre of the thriving French speaking Métis settlement of St. Albert. Today the chapel has been restored to look much as it did in the early 1860s. Drop in to the chapel and let the historical interpreters take you back to an earlier time. Tour the chapel, the crypt, grotto and the cemetery for a truly unique experience. Tours are provided in English and in French language.Across the road is the Founders' Walk historic interpretive trail with interpretive panels telling the history of St. Albert. Down the road is the St. Albert Grain Elevator museum, down the hill on the founders' walk is the Little White School house and across the river is Musee' Heritage to round out your visit to the area.
