Overview

The third annual Bear Creek Folk Music Festival takes place August 17-19 on Borstad Hill in Muskoseepi Park, in the heart of Grande Prairie. The festival features 4 stages with over 30 provincial, national, and international touring artists performing from a wide range of genres, including country, Celtic, blues, gospel, Americana, bluegrass, world music, contemporary and traditional folk, rock and many things in between. With its diverse and high-caliber lineup, there is something for everyone to enjoy.Some of thegreatacts coming this year- Michael Franti and Spearhead, City and Color, Colin James, Emerson Drive, and Childrens entertainment- Sharon And Bram, just to name a few. This is a family-friendly event, with children under 12 entering free, and youth and senior discounts available. The vibe is relaxed and all about enjoying world-class music. Sit and listen for a bit then move to the next stage, or find some shade and spend the day in one place soaking up the tunes. Our kids area offers free face-painting and arts & crafts. Enjoy craft beer, ciders, and wines in our beer gardens. Artisan vendors, diverse food options, and a stocked merchandise tent round out the fest’s offerings.
