Location, location, location.
Okay, the magic of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is more than just an incredible locale.
You could probably stick a 1950’s motor lodge on the site occupied by this iconic Rocky Mountain property and it would get good reviews. The hotel sits high on a hill overlooking one of the world’s most beautiful river valleys and a pristine, world-renowned golf course backed by towering, slate grey mountains stacked with deeply coloured evergreens and perennial caps of snow. The views are simply astounding, and I suspect television usage here is about the lowest around. I mean, why watch reality TV when the best reality on the planet is outside your window, complete with majestic elk and the occasional bear or deer.
