Derek Fuller and his family have spent much time travelling abroad.

While seeing the world, they always came across amusement attractions that captivated them.

“Through that experience in the last few years we tried all sorts of things and one of the things the kids loved more than anything were good old fashioned bouncy castles,” said Fuller.

“We started the idea of looking into what is involved in that and what possibilities are involved in that. We did research and found in Canada there weren’t any inflatable parks. In the rest of the world, they were all over the place.”

This sparked a desire in Fuller and his wife to create something like this in Canada.

“This has been in the works for about six years,” said Fuller.

“We talked to guys in Europe, we talked to guys in Australia and all over the world. The concept of Big Fun is really around families. This is about having fun as a family and from the get-go it was about providing something we can have a lot of fun together.”

It took a while, but Fuller was able to secure a 31,000 sq. foot space just behind Cross Iron Mills. Inside will house over 25 different attractions appealing to any age group.
