Golfing Summer Outdoor Activities

There’s golfing, and then there’s golfing with an ungulate audience. Add the Rockies, forests or Badlands as a backdrop, and you won’t even care if you miss making par at one of Alberta’s more than 250 golf courses. • Wild: The Canadian Badlands tour is five courses combining traditional greens with desert coulees, ancient riverbeds and cacti. • Historic: Pre-1925, the site of the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge golf course was all boulders and mountain bush. Today, the course carves through nature and is one of the best on Earth. Only here: Stretch out the back nine until midnight during the long northern Alberta summer days.

Indian Hill is a fun, tree-lined 9-hole golf course hiding East and South of Coaldale, Alberta. Operated by a non-profit society for more than 30 years, the clubhouse features a full service dining room and excellent pro shop.
