Glacier Walking Nature & Wildlife

Glacier walking is the most epic stroll you’ll ever take. How can it not be? Hundreds of kilometers of 10,000 year old, extremely thick ice? It's crazy to imagine all of Alberta was covered in glaciers millions of years ago. A glacier walk includes the most refreshing, icy tonic ever: ancient glacier meltwater. • Walk it: You can take the monstrous Ice Explorer bus to the Athabasca glacier, or a three-hour guided ice walk instead. • Cherry on top: Post-glacier walk, tip-toe out to the Glacier Skywalk – a glass observation platform suspended 280 m (919 ft) above the Sunwapta Valley.
