Food & Dining Food, Shopping, Relaxation

We’re famous for our beef. Close your eyes and savour the flavour explosion of a juicy Alberta steak, grilled to perfection and so tender you can cut it with a fork. Pair it with a robust red wine recommended by your sommelier. Mouth-watering dining experiences abound in Alberta, from eclectic cafés to down home diners that remind you of good home cooking. Top chefs create menus that focus on bringing local produce from farm to fork. Dine on wild game, bison, ostrich or elk in a chic contemporary bistro or in the understated elegance of a mountain lodge.

Blindman Brewing

Lacombe, Alberta
TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:

Blindman Brewery co-owner Hans Doef became well aware of the growth in food interest through Doef’s Greenhouses and felt there was an opportunity to start the vibrant brewery he had always wanted in his hometown of Lacombe. Doef and his long-time friend and co-owner Dave Vander Plaat have always been interested in brewing. Earlier in 2015, four other passionate beer geeks joined their team: Matt Willerton, Kirk Zembal, Shane Groendahl, and Adam Campbell. At Blindman Brewing, they believe in creating innovative, quality, flavourful craft beer; using the best ingredients; using local ingredients; and supporting the places they live in and the people that live there.
