Train Travel Attractions & Entertainment

Travel the province the way some of Alberta’s earliest visitors did. Rail travel in Alberta is all about the journey. Now's a great time to start. • See it: Snag a seat in the glass-walled observation car on a trip between Jasper and Edmonton. It's the perfect place to gawk at the preserved wilderness from all angles. • Level up: If the old-fashioned glamour of train travel is on your bucket list, go all-in. Book a Rocky Mountain train trip complete with gourmet meals. • Offbeat: Get robbed by prairie bandits, solve a mysterious murder, and top it off with a juicy steak dinner. It all happens on a vintage steam train staffed by characters from the past.

What makes a perfect vacation? A chance to relax, of course. Stunning scenery, certainly. But there's usually another essential in the equation: The opportunity to experience something extraordinary and thought-provoking that changes you forever.
