Karen Ung: Playoutside Guide
Travel back in time at the Sundre Pioneer Museum, a jam-packed cultural destination that includes an indoor pioneer gallery, an outdoor village spread over four acres of land, and the one-of-a-kind Chester Mjolsness World of Wildlife Exhibit. The experience here is immersive; the heritage buildings in the village are open, allowing visitors to see how the pioneering families who founded Sundre once lived. Passionate local residents serve as volunteer tour guides, or visitors can explore the museum on their own to check out the schoolhouse, trapper cabin, chapel, farm machinery and much more. The Sundre Pioneer Museum also includes the Chester Mjolsness World of Wildlife Exhibit, an astonishing display featuring more than 170 taxidermy animals from around the world.
