Overview

Northwest of Edson, in Alberta’s foothills, lies Sundance Provincial Park. This scenic park protects diverse landscapes such as moist, old-growth forest, sandstone cliffs, steep valleys, hoodoos, and wetlands. Plenty of wildlife make the area home, including moose, deer, bear, cougar, and many different birds. The park is also home to 12 species of orchids and five species of carnivorous plants. On top of hiking and wildlife viewing opportunities, the park features a chain of five lakes (Emerson Lakes) where visitors can swim, paddle, and much more.
