Siding 14 Brewing
The vision at Siding 14 Brewing is simple, “from Field to Glass”. It is this philosophy that brought together two barley growers, two hops growers and a brewer to form Siding 14 Brewing Company. Growers Brent & Kari Tarasoff, Josh & Femke Lubach, and head brewer Marc Shields began construction of their state-of-the-art brewery and tasting room in December of 2016. Six months later, June 23, 2017, they opened their doors in Ponoka. The brewery’s name is inspired by the railway siding - Siding 14, an original supply point of the Calgary- Edmonton Railway Company. Siding 14 Brewing produces a number of core beers as part of their Mainline offerings, from the refreshing and crisp Dayliner Golden Ale to their toasty Brakeman Brown Ale. Marc & his Brew Team also brew a number of small batch seasonals and limited release beers, including the Engine 17 Hopyard Series featuring Brent & Kari’s exclusive hops, and their Dark Territory series which showcase malty, dark beers.Visit Siding 14 Brewing Company in their bright and modern tasting room to sample their fine ales. You can go through a full line-up of beers with their Boxcar Taster while snacking on locally produced beef jerky and pepperoni.
