Come celebrate National Indigenous People's Day. This is their 20th year of honouring their First Nation, Metis and Inuit culture and spirit in the Edmonton region. This year, Enoch Cree Nation will be their host location, with activities occurring on the cultural grounds. The day will commence in traditional custom with a pipe ceremony. A traditional pow wow that will share the beauty and courage of dancers and drummers will be held in the arbour. There will be many learning opportunities throughout the Expo grounds featuring First Nation teachings, Metis Jigging and Fiddling and Inuit knowledge keepers, along with traditional games. The kids will enjoy the song, dance, amazing regalia, learning opportunities and not to mention the face painting and bouncy castles. Opening Ceremony and pow wow registration starts at 9 am with a Grand Entry at 10 am. A free BBQ lunch Festivities run through day. For more information check out their facebook page.
