Overview

Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation is planning a large scale event to celebrate the rich history of the lands and the culture of their neighbors, the Stoney Nakoda People. On August 23rd GRPF will host a day filled with free Indigenous dance, music, singing, art, and sport. This event will offer hands-on learning activities for children and adults. Their goal is to bring the spirit of reconciliation to life through learning, gratitude, and fun. Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and promoting Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park. They have a history of putting on large scale events from organized fun runs to Park Day Celebrations. For this event, they have partnered with elders and youth from Cochrane and the Stoney Nakoda Nation as well as the Town of Cochrane and Alberta Parks.
