The Fall Service of the McDougall Stoney Mission Society is an unbroken tradition since the early 1970's. It marks the end of the Summer Interpretive Season at the Morleyville Site and welcomes visitors to hear an update on the Site and some words of inspiration from several community leaders. Their mission statement is to preserve and maintain the historic McDougall Stoney Mission Church, landmarks for visitors worldwide! Join them to celebrate the exceptional pioneer heritage of Western Canada that is uniquely reflected in the story of the Morleyville Settlement. They encourage everyone to understand history – through interpretive walks and presentations, connect with the Stoney Nation - through fellowship, special events and cultural displays and explore regional culture - through art, dance, theater and craft! Learn about local ecology and nature – interpret the biology, geology and botany of the site and surrounding area, including local Indigenous knowledge of the region.
