Overview

Join Marge and Cassandra Johnson, two Cree artists from Alberta, to make an authentic Cree craft. While crafting under the starry sky at Elk Island National Park, this mother-daughter duo will share information about Cree culture and the significance of the chosen craft. First Nations beadwork is a decorative art form. Come craft your own pair of beaded earrings while learning about these two techniques and its significance to Cree culture. After crafting, roast bannock over a fire, slather it with some homemade jam, and share stories with new friends. A park pass is required.
