Travel Alberta

Followers of YouTuber Peter McKinnon know that Alberta is the place where he captured his ultimate bucket-list photo in 2018 (at Moraine Lake, of course). And he’s not alone—Alberta has grabbed the attention of all kinds of people this year, for many reasons other than bucket shots.

The New York Times recently put the Alberta city of Calgary on its list of 52 Places to Go in 2019, citing the city’s stunning new Central Library, located in the booming East Village which also boasts as a neighbor the National Music Centre.

CNN Travel editors recently called Alberta one of the best trips of the year. Travel and Leisure magazine put Alberta on its list of the 50 best places to Travel in 2019. The Telegraph in the U.K. put Alberta on its list of the 10 best ski resorts in North America (and if you’re keeping track of the world’s best places for skiing and winter fun, Alberta so made lists published by the Daily Mail, CN Traveller, Escapism and Travel & Destinations).

Need more reasons to plan a trip? MSN thinks you should visit because it’s got the world’s most dreamy blue water, because the province has one of the world’s top wildlife experiences, and amazing cliff jumping. Vogue loves Alberta, Harpers Bazaar can’t wait to visit in 2019, and the Independent thinks you should go solo (so does MSN).

For the romantic, Brides magazine thinks you should propose to your future spouse in the province. And since you’re already taking photos, the Evening Standard, MSN and the Independent recommend Alberta because it’s one of the world’s most Instagrammable places.

Oh, and Alberta also has gorgeous national parks. Just ask Peter McKinnon.
